Small restaurant off the beaten path (at least on the side we were on). Was a very busy evening the night we visited. Ended up going with the oysters on special and they were amazing. So fresh and unique! Bartender was our server as we were seated bar side and he was able to give us very thorough descriptions of the differing flavor profiles. We also had a fennel and beet salad which was amazing and great cocktails. If seated bar side, I recommend looking to see what the chef is consistently serving up and ordering that way!

This restaurant is fairly small and was super packed when we came (5pm on a Tuesday). Definitely try and plan ahead as I don't think they take reservations. We sat at the bar and our bartender was super friendly! I can tell there are a lot of regulars and it's a very established restaurant in the area. Oysters were super fresh (although $50 for a dozen was a big shock especially since it was happy hour). I highly recommend the maple bread pudding. It was a great combination of textures (crunchy, soft, creamy) and sooo good!!!

Ambiance was on point with the food. Loved the oysters, charred cabbage, chicory salad, scallop crudo, and bread and butter. The fried oysters were fire! Get this!! Beef tartare was a bit too salty, and I usually love beef tartare. Cocktails were on point. I got the coconut and lime - yummy! Service was meh. I tried for a long time to get someone's attention and was ignored. I was just happy I got seated at 7pm on a Thursday without a wait. I'd go back again for the good food.

Yum! What a lovely gem in Ballard. Tucked away and romantic. The oysters were top notch. Had the crudo, grilled sardines, steak tartare and cocktails. All absolutely delicious!

Quaint little space with an outdoor seating area. It's in the back of a building down a long hallway. Opens at 4 and is all evening happy hour. Food is great, they have a shuckers dozen happy hour oysters, but they are pretty pricey. $10 off for happy hour, but they are still $50. That's still over $4.10 an oysters, which is pretty steep! They told us $10 off for happy hours, but didn't tell how much. I've had lots of oysters and lots of happy oysters, and none are $4+ an oyster for happy hour! Service was great, 4 stars just for the crazy expensive oysters!

Favorite dinner of the trip. Well worth the Uber ride outside of downtown Seattle. We went right when they opened to get a good spot and take advantage of happy hour. It quickly filled up! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We got 2 dozen oysters, 5 or 6 variations all from Washington with different flavor profiles. The sockeye salmon crudo in a lemon butter sauce was to die for. For dessert we got warm vanilla infused dates with olive oil that were melt in your mouth. The nectarine clafoutis with vanilla cream was also very good. Can't wait to go back next time we're in the area!

This place is always a treat. It's in the back of a building in Ballard, but the space is still open and inviting. My group ordered the scallop crudo, some cheese and bread, Billy's tomatoes, and the steak tartare. The scallops were sweet and fresh. The dressing and tomatoes were good accents to the light scallop flavor Billy's tomatoes were scrumptious. I don't think I've ever had tomatoes this good. It would be good with some bread to drench in that delicious sauce. Steak tartare was also really good! The little crisps were light and crunchy. Like a chip haha. Service was also nice and efficient. Overall, this place is a treat. An expensive treat but a treat nonth

5 stars Tucked away at the end of the street this restaurant is the go to for oysters in Seattle There are lots of high top tables and bar seating. Would recommend making reservations if a bigger group or for busy hours. Was able to get bar seating easily. Also they have a happy hour from 4-5pm! We ordered two of every oyster, and our favorites were the indigo, Jamestown, Hama Hama. The menu has the oysters listed in terms of saltiness with the indigo, being the least salty. We enjoyed the bread appetizer Tomatoes were okay and would likely order something else Excellent drink and wine menu. Service was superb. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back

Classy ambiance? yes. Fresh bread? yes. Great service? Yes. Located in the back of a sneaky hallway is the walrus and carpenter. It's first come first serve, making reservations is not available. I'm new to the raw oyster game and I learned I enjoy the small and sweet kind than the briny oysters. The oyster texture was fabulous paired with the vinegrette. I highly recommend the grilled sardines. I wish it came with more sardines bc I couldn't get enough of the herby walnut sauce. The clams were good but I wish it came more carbs so I can lap up the delicious lemongrass boil soup. The salad was fabulous, I wouldn't think fresh snap peas would work in a salad but it does. Bread and butter is a no brainer because I saw the gorgeous mound of butter from the bar and I knew it was gonna be amazing with the flaky salt. This restaurant is definitely on my favorites in Seattle list.
